QA Analyst

We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst to support ongoing application and technology improvement initiatives. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality software solutions by leading testing efforts across multiple projects, defining quality standards, and implementing effective testing practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
- Lead end-to-end testing efforts, including functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Define and implement QA best practices, testing frameworks, and strategies to improve efficiency, repeatability, and accuracy.
- Document and track defects through resolution using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure testability.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness reviews.
- Analyze testing outcomes to identify gaps in processes and propose improvements.
- Validate data integrity, APIs, and backend workflows to ensure end-to-end quality.
- Support continuous integration and delivery processes; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Work effectively in a hybrid or remote environment, with strong communication and ownership of deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience creating and executing structured test plans and test cases.
- Proven experience conducting functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
- Experience with issue tracking and test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail).
- Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex workflows and identify root causes of defects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (Azure preferred).
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a professional services, legal, or enterprise IT environment.
- Background supporting multi-phase application modernization or system upgrade efforts.
- Ability to contribute to ongoing process and tools optimization within QA practice.
Location
Hybrid (Chicago preferred) or Remote, with occasional onsite collaboration as needed (approximately 10%).Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without the need for employer sponsorship.
